A 2014 article from the
Pearce High School Pony Express indicates that this Little Free Library was placed here during the summer of that year by the J.J. Pearce Homeowners Association. It's made of wood, resembling a vintage school house, including a bell tower without a bell, painted red with white trim.
This one is not listed on the Little Free Library website, and its charter number is unknown. A photo accompanying the 2014 news article notes that it was sponsored by the J.J. Pearce HOA, but there is no number then, and that sign on the top front has since become illegible. There are no other markings or plaques to identify the Little Free Library.
The Little Free Library is missing one of its front doors, and the magnets that held it closed have been roughed up, suggesting that vandals have been destroying things book-related rather than just reading books. Both sides have doors, so it's best to use the shelves on the back to protect the books from the elements.
