This is a one-story brick building with a flat roof. We first thought it might be several buildings together, as a metal siding has been added around two sides. In researching the business occupying the building, we find that Consumer Textile Corp. was established in 1907 and bought by R.H. Myers in 1918. It appears that this business has been here since that time. It has been family owned and operated all these years. This is a commercial laundry and a boiler pipe and other mechanical equipment is located on the roof.
It is not possible to see what the original building looked like because metal siding has been added across the north and west sides, with only the upper wall still exposed. The building is located on the southwest corner of 4th Street and W. Gary Blvd. Two single pedestrian doors face 4th Street. The windows on the north side and the two on the west are steel-framed casement units.
The west side has a stepped parapet, with a cast stone panel which reads "R. H. MYERS / 1925".
