The Village Bay Terminal is a busy terminal as it both serves people going to and from Mayne Island, but it is also the transfer point between four other terminals in the Gulf Islands, one on Vancouver Island, and one on the Mainland.

The Village Bay Terminal is an important hub to the Southern Gulf Island's BC Ferries network. It doesn't just serve as Mayne Island's ferry terminal but you can pass through this terminal to transfer to another ferry.

In 2018 over 100,000 passengers used the Village Bay Terminal.
