Unusual park in as much as it was not just dedicated. It started with a Civil War Monument, then the cannons on each side from World War I, periodically small stone with a conflicts name was added, then the Gold Star monument, and finally in 2001 all was brought together was "Veterans Memorial Park".

VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK
This park is dedicated to all veterans who fought in any war to defend our country and to all those who contributed to their efforts. Special tribute and memorial is given to all who died in defense of the United States of America.
Special thanks is given to all the citizens and businesses who contributed to this cause. The park was created through the efforts of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 526, with the cooperation of all other veterans organizations in this area.
