Built in 1969, it joined the existing 1940s Lightkeeper’s residence, the 1983 Storage shed building, the 1977 Engine and Radio room, and the 1982 Garage. This grouping buildings has greeted millions of BC Ferries passengers over the past five decades, as Active Pass is the primary route between Vancouver and Victoria.

This slender design stands 13.7 metres | 45 feet tall. Today the site is a part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve and all the structures are protected heritage buildings by the Federal Government.
