Police Station - Bega, NSW, Australia - Police Stations on Waymarking.com

While the Police Station looked like it may have been a Courthouse at some stage (at my visit at the end of 2018), it may not always have the Classic look, as at the end of February 2019 a promise was made by the NSW Premier that there would be a $13M upgrade to Police Station. I hope that they keep the nice frosted glass, NSW Police crest, that is currently at the front door.

In the front lawn area is a pedestal, with a plaque as a Police Memorial, for Senior Constable Kenneth Coussens, and his family, who were killed by a bomb blast at their home in July 1957.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
