Arbirlot is a village three miles west of the town of Arbroath on the east coast of Scotland. The primary school lies in a rural location along a country road nearly a mile west of the village.

Built in 1876 with later additions, the building is dominated by its pinnacled bell tower, flanked by a pair of chimney stacks. Within its round-arched opening a bell is clearly visible.
