This two-toned green Colorbond shed is on the northern side of Potato Point Road, about 500 metres before you get into the heart of the community. It would be about 10 metres square, with a 6 metre awning to the western side. It has a large concrete apron to the road. There are two large roller doors for the CAT1 and CAT9 fire engines. The brigade was established in September 1981, just a few years before a MAJOR fire threatened the community, but with a large firebreak it was able to be diverted, and all the houses saved. Going back to 2014 there has been the attempts to consult with the National Parks and Wildlife Service that were subsequent to the 1985 fire, given jurisdiction over the firebreak land, and there has been insufficient clearing to maintain a safe environment for the village.
