The Capitol, originally known as the Vimy, has been better days, but the good news for those in Vegreville is that it's still showing films.

This theatre has graced Vegreville's main street for a long time. A walking tour brochure says "after fifty years of ownership, Dmytro Sherbaniuk & Wm. Kieryluk sold The Vimy in 1969". That dates the theatre back to about 1919. It has an art deco'ish feel to the facade which indicates a later improvement.
