According to a local historic walking tour brochure, this building was completed in 1930 at approximate cost of $60,000. It replaced the 1905 post office outlet that became the 5 cent to
$1 store and later the New Alberta Pub.
The building is likely one of the oldest buildings in town. Above the town clock is "VEGREVILLE" engraved in stone. The post office no longer occupies the entire building. A lawyer's office is on the second floor.
