The park where the visitor centre is located not only has The Pysanka (world's largest Ukrainian Easter Egg), but a number of other features, the occasional farmers' market, a campground, and fish pond.
Near Vegreville are a couple of very popular tourist attractions: Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village and Elk Island National Park. The town also plays host to a number of festivals.
