Description
Dans son mobilier, plusieurs pièces sont classées :
  • le très grand autel avec son immense retable du XVIIe, en bois couvert de dorures, avec un antependium (devant d’autel) en cuir de Cordoue peint et repoussé, du XVIIe siècle est signalé comme un ensemble « de toute beauté ». Il fait 6,2 m de large sur 7 m de haut : outre la partie centrale et les deux parties latérales, il comporte aussi deux ailerons et est recouvert de 4000 feuilles d'or ;
  • la crèche remonte au milieu du XIXe siècle : les treize santons de 60 cm de haut sont classés ;
  • une fontaine de sacristie, en faïence de Mane, du XVIIIe siècle.
  • une sculpture : un bœuf Ailé du XIIe siècle
  • un chapiteau du XIIe siècle
  • un bas-relief : les obsèques d'un moine du XIVe siècle


Localisation
L'église est située sur la commune de Cruis, dans le département français des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

Historique L’église paroissiale Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Martin est l’ancienne église d’une abbaye de moines augustins.
Elle conserve quelques arcades du cloître, datant de la fin du XIIIe siècle.
La nef est restée romane (peut-être du XIVe siècle), le bœuf de saint Luc est réutilisé dans la façade.
Le chœur est du XVe siècle.
Les chapiteaux de la façade sont à un tournant dans l’évolution des formes décoratives, au début du XVIe siècle, les crochets de la période précédente devenant des feuillages
L'édifice est est inscrit au titre des monuments historiques en 1925.

In its furniture, several rooms are classified:
  • the very large altar with its huge 17th century altarpiece, made of gilded wood, with an antependium (altar front) made of painted and repelled Córdoba leather, from the 17th century, is indicated as a "beautiful" ensemble. It is 6.2 m wide by 7 m high: in addition to the central and two lateral parts, it also has two fins and is covered with 4000 gold leaves ;
  • the crib dates back to the middle of the 19th century: the thirteen 60 cm high santons are classified as ;
  • a sacristy fountain, in Mane earthenware, from the 18th century.
  • a sculpture: a 12th century winged ox

  • a bas-relief: the funeral of a 14th century monk



Location
The church is located in the commune of Cruis, in the French department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

History The parish church of Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Martin is the former church of an abbey of Augustinian monks.
It preserves some arcades of the cloister, dating from the end of the 13th century.
The nave has remained Romanesque (perhaps from the 14th century), the ox of Saint Luke is reused in the facade.
The choir is from the 15th century.
The capitals on the façade are at a turning point in the evolution of decorative forms, at the beginning of the 16th century, the hooks of the previous period becoming foliage
The east building was listed as a historic monument in 1925.
