The Rising Star Cemetery has a simple memorial to the veterans who served, located at the base of the flagpoles.

Description of Memorial:
The memorial is a simple rectangular-shaped block of gray granite, unimproved on the sides, and three bars -- red, white, and blue -- separate the title from the text. Rising Star Cemetery serves Rising Star, TX, which is located in southern Eastland County. There are over 3200 burials here, and one that is notable is that of Lexi Dean Robertson, who was the Poet Laureate of Texas from 1939-1941.
