Around 750 mountain bike kilometers through valleys and hills, past the unmistakable volcanic lakes, the Maaren, which makes this region between Cologne and Trier so unique. All well signposted and in all levels of difficulty for MTB enthusiasts, families and connoisseurs. To stop, many bike-friendly restaurants and hotels invite.

Amidst this impressive nature, the region is the starting point for 750 varied kilometers of well signposted mountain bike tours.

Bike-friendly accommodation, professional bike hire stations and guided MTB tours in various levels of difficulty are on top for the perfect bike holiday. The comprehensive mountain bike offer is rounded off by a top event in autumn, the VulkanBike Eifel Marathon. It attracts 2,000 athletes a year to the Volcanic Eifel, with more than 15 nationalities competing. This year, the highlight event will take place on the 6th and 7th of September 2019.
