The United Methodist Church in Absecon was completed in 1829. Services have been held here continuously since then. In 1856, renovations were completed which saw the addition of the porch, columns, the belfry and the narthex (entranceway). In addition the exterior was reinforced with red brickwork.

The Great Hall was completed on in 2002.
