John Sherwin-Gregory (d. 1869) hatchment in the vestry below the tower of St Mary & St Peter's church, Harlaxton.
"On the death of George Gregory in 1860 the Manor contents were finally inherited by the renamed Welby-Gregorys of Denton.
The house, however, followed an earlier entail and was inherited by John Sherwin (1803-1869). A very distant relative and the family solicitor, John Sherwin became known as John Sherwin Gregory."
