Cette cloche fut rescapée de l'incendie qui ravagea l'ancienne église de Saint-Siméon qui avait été érigée sur ce site. This bell was saved from the fire that destroyed the former Saint-Siméon church that had been built on this site.

Une église, érigée sous les plans de David Ouellet, un architecte spécialisé dans la construction d’église, est finalement construite en 1902.
De belle allure, cette église contenait plusieurs œuvres d’art. Elle a desservi la paroisse jusqu’à ce qu’elle ne subisse un terrible incendie le 27 décembre 1980.
Notons que la cloche de l’ancienne église a été conservée grâce au curé de Saint-Siméon du temps, l’abbé Napoléon Gagnon, qui l’a rescapée de l’incendie. Elle est ensuite exposée juste à côté de l’église.
Signalons que l’abbé Napoléon Gagnon a joué un grand rôle dans la reconstruction de l’église de Saint-Siméon.

A church, erected under the plans of David Ouellet, an architect specializing in church building, was finally built in 1902.
Beautifully designed, this church contained several works of art. It served the parish until it suffered a terrible fire on December 27, 1980.
Note that the bell of the old church was preserved thanks to the pastor of Saint-Simeon at the time,Father Napoleon Gagnon, who rescued it from the fire. It is now in place right next to the church.
