[GER] Der Pranger steht in der Grabenstraße unmittelbarer Nähe des ehemaligen städtischen Gerichtsgebäudes „Haus Wittlich“. Er erinnert an Zeiten, in denen Menschen für leichte Straftaten an den Pranger gekettet wurden und dort den Übergriffen der Bevölkerung schutzlos ausgeliefert waren.

[ENG] The pillory is located in the Grabenstraße in the immediate vicinity of the former municipal court building "Haus Wittlich". It is reminiscent of times when people were chained to the pillory for minor crimes, where they were at the mercy of the population.
