"A railway station established at an altitude of 105 m, Jambes-Est station is located at kilometre point (KP) 2.10 of line 162, from Namur to Sterpenich (Luxembourg border), between Namur and Dave-Saint-Martin stations.

The line from Namur to the Luxembourg border was commissioned in 1858 in sections. The Grande compagnie du Luxembourg opened the Namur to Ciney section, which passed to Dave, on May 15, 1858. In 1867 there was no station or stopover in Jambes, at that time there was only the Namur station in the territory of that city.

A 1888-type halting building was erected in Jambes-Est on an unknown date (probably before 1893). It has a two-storey L-shaped central body under a hipped roof, a lower wing under the roof as a waiting room and an L-shaped service wing. Its facade alternated brick and light stone bands, while each bay was equipped with curved arches topped by a brick drip line, characteristic of this type of station. This building has now been demolished.

In 1991, the Belgian National Railway Company changed the name of the Jambes-État station to Jambes-Est station. It has two docks with shelters. The passage from one platform to the other is done using the road tunnel located below the stop."
