The memorial shows a ring of people standing with their backs together. It depicts students in an act of protest against terrorism. On 13 March 1992, students protested terrorism at their university after an incident with the police on campus. The incident escalated and the police started firing at the students. One student, Moin Hossain Raju, was hit in the head by a bullet. The statue was erected five years later in his honor.
