"In N Out opened on October 22, 1948 at 4:15pm in Baldwin Park, California. The store was orignally on Francisquito and Garvey, where the currenty freeway overpass is now located. It moved to this locateion in 1954. On that first day in 1948, in a 10X10 building, just like this, Harry ad Esther soldhamburgers. They welcomed customers and took orders through a two way speaker. We built this replica so that visitors can take a step back in time and get a glimpse of how it all began."
