A pink granite headstone, with softly rounded shoulders is at the head of the pink granite, slab-covered grave site for Able Seaman Theo Bruyns. The inscription reads:
In Loving Memory
of
our beloved son
and brother
able seaman
THEO BRUYNS
Born 14th January 1945
Accidentally Shot
18th November 1967

R - I - P

There is also a bronze plaque for his service in the Royal Australian Navy, which reads:
