The garden was conceived in 2011 and constructed in 2012. It was designed by Ted Bahr of Prairie Sky Permaculture, with the permaculture ethics of Care of Earth, Care of People and Fair share of Resources as a guide.
You can see from the map on the information board or from a satellite view that the permaculture principles are in play here. During the summer, the garden is a cool vibrant green filled with edible plants, playful structures like a homemade little library, homemade wind turbine and hand operated water pump. A bright mural livens up the utility shed.
