The Central Tilba War Memorial was dedicated to those who served in the First World War and lists those that returned and those who didn't, it was unveiled by Mrs L. T. Hurley, wife of Lt-Col Hurley on December 12th 1919.
The Monument which is approx 5m tall is made of locally quarried granite has a 3m obelisk on top of three polished blocks with the names incised on them below which are two roughly hewn blocks that form the base.
