The fire road up the canyon is a popular starting spot to break off along other fireroads that head up the hills or single track sections further north.

Most of the single track mountain bike trails are in the middle of the park. From this entrance, you drop down a few hundred feet on a paved road before getting to the fire roads. Watch carefully for the single tracks on the side of the trail. Check to be sure mountain bikes are allowed.
Park outside on Pacific Coast Highway to avoid the parking fee.
