The Pumping Station is designated as SPS72, (or SP0072) and is built of brown brick. It is not quite of two-storey height, but certainly taller than a single-storey bungalow building. It has no windows, and a roller-door for the entrance. It stands behind a 2 metre high cyclone mesh fence, ropped with several strands of barbed wire. It has brick flying-buttressed corners and tiles for the hip-gabled roof. There are a couple of brown 'whirly-birds' and exhaust vents on the roof.

Above the roller door entry is the Dated Section, which also states (in an abbreviated form) which organisation it belonged to.
