"The Saint-Jacques church, located on Saint-Jacques Street in the centre of the city of Namur (Belgium), is a religious building in classical style dating from the 18th century. Formerly a relay on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, it is now desecrated and has become a fashion clothing store.

The site, very old, included a scallop hospice which since 1406 had been receiving the sick, wounded soldiers and pilgrims on their way to Compostela. Remains of the foundations of an earlier building, a 13th century wooden chapel, were uncovered.

In 1755, a pious brotherhood, the "brothers of mercy", took over the management of the hospital. Their particular vocation is to devote themselves to the most deprived and to accompany those condemned to death during their last moments, as well as to take care of their funeral and burial. They rebuilt the church in 1757 and modernized the hospital in 1758, while remaining mainly open to the poor of all kinds. In 1902 the hospital left the city centre.

In March 2015, a clothing store opened in the restored church. In May 2018, the "America Today" brand occupied the premises."
