Après que le premier collège situé sur la 4e avenue à La Pocatière, eut été détruit par le feu en 1912, un nouveau collège fut construit en 1922. Ce collège est désormais connu sous le nom de Collège de formation générale et professionnelle. After the first college located on 4th avenue in La Pocatière burnt to the ground in 1912, a new college was built in 1922. This college is now known as the College of General and Professional Education. The clock which has roman numerals as a means to identify the hours, is mounted on the facade of the dome and is positioned below the steeple and above the columns.
