Well away from the centre of town, the Choteau LDS Church is one of the newer churches in the little Teton County seat.

Set far from the madding crowd of the bustling city of Choteau, this church is at the far northeast corner of the city, a hair's breadth away from the city's edge. Low and rambling, the one story building is faced primarily with brick, with a feature wall of stone at one end of the sanctuary and more stone work on the tall, square steeple.
Said steeple is brick from top to bottom on two sides and stone from bottom to top on the other two sides, left open for the last few feet at the top, the openings filled with decorative metal bars. A very thin metal spire aspires skyward from the steeple's stepped flat roof.
The style of the church suggests a construction era of the 1970s, possibly earlier. The majority of LDS churches we've encountered of late were built after the 1970s and no longer have this tall steeple in favor of a cookie cutter steeple atop a gabled roof.
