text: "This bell summer firemen to duty in the Union District from 1873 until 1902, yelling from the belfry of a fire station which was abandoned by 1931 and demolished in 1963. It is now dedicated in memory and in tribute to all firemen who have served are serving and will serve in the fire service. Dedicated 1978"
