A plaque reads:
Fred & Ginger
by Pat Mack
donated by two high school sweethearts:
Walter and Elizabeth Martin
Walter was born in 1926 and Elizabeth in 1927. They were raised in Braddock, PA and became high school sweethearts in 1943. Walter enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served in the South Pacific on the heavy cruiser USS Portland. He was discharged in 1946 and found his sweetheart waiting for him.

They were married in 1947 and raised Claudia, Walter and Brian in Concord, CA. Their many travels took them to exotic places around the world.

In their mid-eighties, after 65 years of marriage and numerous homes, they finally bought their last home in Fountain Hills. They still travel, always searching for the next adventure.

"We may not reach heaven together but one will be waiting for the other and the big school sweethearts will dance to eternity."
