I spent much of my boyhood with a cowboy,
the genuine article. This bronze sculpture
reminds me of him, a man who had time for
a boy.

"TOLSON-- Lee Marie Berry , a long time Pioneer of Pawhuska, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 1997 at her home in Pawhuska. Born on May 5, 1896 in Norman, OK, she was the daughter of Andrew and Addie (Henry) Berry. After attending The University of Oklahoma, Lee moved to Pawhuska for a teaching position in The Pawhuska School System.
"Here she met and married Ralph Stratford Tolson of The Tolson Agency. Lee and Ralph enjoyed a long life together until his passing on July 12, 1983. She was a member of The St. Thomas Episcopal Church, a Charter Member of The American Legion Auxiliary Post 97 and a long time supporter of The Pawhuska Library.
"She is survived by: her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Stratford B. and Eleanor M. Tolson, Ralph M. and Virginia S. Tolson and Melvin L. and Carolyn R. Tolson, all of Pawhuska; 9 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Service will be Saturday, September 27, 1997 at 10 a.m. in the St. Thomas Episcopal Church with burial in The Pawhuska Cemetery.
