This slate plaque is located close the entrance of the former British School in Rachub.

The inscription reads:

BRITISH SCHOOL
ERECTED 1853
THIS LAND WAS PRESENTED BY
THE LATE MRS MARGARET JONES
PLAS Y PISTYLL AND HER HUSBAND
THE LATE MR OWEN JONES GAVE A
PORTION OF MONEY FOR THE
SUPPORT OF THE SCHOOL

The plaque is reached via a narrow alleyway between Ffordd Llanllechid and Britannia Street in Rachub.

The school has been closed for a considerable time and I believe the building is currently disused.
