The original Jacob's Ladder was a wood ladder. It was constructed in the early 1900s. It was replaced by cement stairs in 1963. It is 88 steps from bottom near Brazos River to the top on the bluff above.
William Cameron Family in 1910 donated 400 acres of land to the City of Waco for a park. There are over 20 miles of trails in the park which is along the Brazos River on the north side of downtown.
This map give the main features of the park such as parking, playgrounds, structures, restrooms, and trail heads.
