According to the Blue Flag website (http://www.blueflag.global), in order to qualify for the Blue Flag, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria must be met and maintained.
The beach is located next to the Bayfield Marina and pier. The sand is very nice and the walk out into the water is also wonderfully sandy. The town of Bayfield is a haven for those looking for boutique shops and independent casual restaurants and pubs.
