The post office is located at 307 S. Oklahoma (State Highway 77) in the center of town. This is a one-story brick building with a gable roof, located next to the Paoli Grocery and Deli. The counter is open Monday to Friday from 9:15-12:15' 1:15-4:15 and on Saturday from 10:00-11:00. The lobby and PO boxes are available Monday through Saturday (24/6).
The post office was established here on June 27, 1888. When the railroad came through and a depot was set up, the town was named for Paoli, Pennsylvania, a small town outside of Philadelphia where many of the railroad workers were from. The town grew quickly and was primarily agricultural, with cattle ranching, and later in 1916, oil and gas was discovered. The town is located on Highway 77, about seven miles north of Pauls Valley and 15 miles south of Purcell.
