The reserve occupies a section along the lake close to cafes. There is ample parking, shady picnic tables, BBQs, open space, rubbish bins & sandy foreshores. Plaques beside the lake explain its geological history & highlight the birds you might see, in particular the swans. If you have a canoe you can launch it from here.
