La porte Nointel est un des deniers vestiges de l'enceinte médiévale. Entrée Est du bourg en venant de Compiègne, elle fut nommé au XIVe siècle porte de Warty (Fitz-James actuel).
Les aménagements évoquent des défenses d'accès caractéristiques du XIIIe siècle, mais il semble que des remaniements y aient été apportés au XIVe et même au XVIe siècle.
Il ne reste aujourd'hui que la partie inférieures de cette porte.
Des bases de piliers eet chapiteaux de l'ancienne collégiale découverts près du donjon en 1838 sont exposés sous la porte.

The Nointel gate is one of the last vestiges of the medieval walls. Entrance East of the town coming from Compiègne, it was named in the 14th century Warty gate (current Fitz-James)
The developments evoke characteristic access defenses of the 13th century, but it seems that revisions were made in the 14th and even the 16th century.
It remains today only the lower part of this gate.
Pillar bases and capitals of the old collegiate church discovered near the donjon in 1838 are exposed under the gate.
