Le Théâtre de Namur est, depuis 1998, au cœur de la capitale de la Région wallonne un espace de création et de diffusion en arts de la scène. Son siège et sa salle principale sont situés au Théâtre royal de Namur, un théâtre à l'italienne du XIXe siècle.
Il présente, chaque saison, une soixantaine de spectacles de théâtre, de danse, de cirque, de concert, de spectacles pour enfants. Il produit ou coproduit cinq à six spectacles par saison.
Il bénéficie de la double reconnaissance officielle de la Communauté française de Belgique de centre culturel et de centre dramatique.
Son siège et sa salle principale sont situés au Théâtre royal de Namur, un théâtre à l'italienne construit en 1863, classé au Patrimoine civil public de Wallonie et propriété de la Ville de Namur.
Depuis 2013, il est le siège de l'intime festival de Benoît Poelvoorde, un festival littéraire qui se déroule à la fin du mois d'août.
Patrick Colpé est son directeur depuis 1998.
Sinds 1998 bevindt het Théâtre de Namur zich in het hart van de hoofdstad van het Waalse Gewest als ruimte voor creatie en verspreiding in de podiumkunsten. De hoofdzetel en de grote zaal bevinden zich in het Théâtre royal de Namur, een 19e eeuws Italiaans theater.
Elk seizoen worden er een zestigtal theater-, dans-, circus-, concert- en kindervoorstellingen georganiseerd. Per seizoen worden er vijf tot zes voorstellingen per seizoen geproduceerd of gecoproduceerd.
Het is officieel erkend door de Franse Gemeenschap van België als cultureel en dramatisch centrum.
De hoofdzetel en de grote zaal bevinden zich in het Théâtre royal de Namur, een Italiaans theater uit 1863, dat op de monumentenlijst van Wallonië staat en eigendom is van de stad Namen.
Sinds 2013 is het de thuisbasis van het intieme festival van Benoît Poelvoorde, een literair festival dat eind augustus plaatsvindt.
