Nowra Rifle Club - South Nowra, NSW - Shooting Ranges on Waymarking.com

Initially it was in the heart of what is now the city of Nowra & moved to this location in 1958. From inception to 1990 it was a Fullbore club but after that year it was decided to introduce a wider variety of shooting sports.

The disciplines it now offers are:

Longarms:

Air Rifle, Black Powder Breech Loading, Black Powder Muzzle Loading, Black Powder Shotgun, Centrefire (telescopic sights), F Class, Fullbore, Service Rifle, Shotgun Nitro & Single Action.

Smallbore:

Bench Rest, Metallic Silhouette.

Pistol:

25 metre, 50 metre, Air Pistol, Black Powder, Metallic Silhouette, Rapid Fire, Standard, Service & Single Action.

There are six shooting ranges (none visible from entry gate) within the complex which is at the end of Warra Warra Road in a bushland setting.

If you are not a member entry is only by prior arrangement.

I'm not a member but in my youth was a member of three Fullbore Clubs. I used central sighting on an Omark 7.62 millimetre & shot over distances of 300 to 1000 metres, with 600 metres being my favourite distance. If I was to take up the sport again it would be Centrefire with telescopic sights!
