The water tower is part of the county wide system of Orange County. It serves to provide water storage and assist to maintain water pressure in the water mains below the streets. As expected, it provides water for residential, commercial, and fire protection.
There are markings on the tower. The markings are HAD94 and an unintelligible symbol that appears to be a backward copyright symbol. These are one the tower along walking rail.
