The congregational chapel dates from 1722, with the present building dated 1793.

"Congregational Church. Datestone 1793. Brick with slate roof. Single-unit church with vestibule and gallery at west end. Elevation to road is 2-storey 3-window range of casements under plain arches with gauged-brick surrounds. Central porch, in similar style and with panelled doors, is C19. Corbelled brick cornice and hipped roof with large central conical ventilator. Interior not inspected but noted as having a gallery supported with cast iron columns and C19 fittings."
