The Nimrod Cemetery is on FM 569, a bit west of Eastland County Rd 138, across from the Nimrod Baptist Church. Dating at least into the 1880s, the cemetery is still active, with over three hundred burials.

This area was settled in 1876, and a post office was established in 1885, when the town's name was changed to Nimrod. They've seen better days, and today are a nice, quiet rural community. The Nimrod Baptist Church, just across the road, is still active.
