Gotebo is a ghost town located in Kiowa County. It has a current population of about 215 residents. The downtown block is vacant and in ruins. The volunteer fire department, however, is operational.

Off the northeast corner of the firehouse, which is located on Commercial Avenue, just west of Main Street, a wood telephone pole has a siren mounted on top. The siren consists of two rows of stationary horns, eight on each level, with a 360 degree radius.
