Das Bild wird die kommenden drei Monate an der Wand bleiben und danach wieder übermalt.

Marcus Haas sagt über seine Arbeit: „Wenn diese Hauswand sprechen könnte, würde sie mit Sicherheit vom einschneidendsten Ereignis der Stadt erzählen: Dem Mauerbau ab 1961 und der Trennung Berlins bis 1989. Das Mural trägt diesem Schnitt durch die Stadt und den damit verbundenen Verletzungen an Leib und Seele der Berliner Rechnung. In der Maserung des Fleisches kann man die Stadtgrenze und die Stadtteile Berlins erkennen. Da das Gebäude durch die Baulücke und die damit freiliegende Hauswand ebenfalls wie durchschnitten aussieht, bilden Architektur und Artwork eine Einheit.“"
