The Yass Post Shop on Comur St was built in 1884 in the Italianate style with the clock in the tower being installed in 1888. The assymetrical two storey building is constructed of stuccoed brick, the roof of both the main building and the tower is clad with slate. On the footpath outside there are two cast-iron hitching posts
