The forest-green painted wooden bench is about 5 foot wide, and made up of multiple narrow slats of timber, with a pronounced curving shape at the top of the backrest, and front of the seat. The paint on this bench is in quite good condition. The two outer supporting metal straps are welded to metal posts, that are set into small rectangular concrete pads. While the central strap provides rigidity, extra strength and support. The slat that the two cast bronze plaques are inset into is about twice the width of the other slats. The plaques have a textured black background, and the left-hand one (in the centre of the bench) is held in place with four brass Philips-head, counter-sunk screws - with just a touch of verdigris. It reads:
In Loving Memory of
WILLIAM (BILL) ARTHUR TREVAN
11/2/25 - 11/8/11
Mosman was his home
While the right-hand plaque has more of a rippled black background, and is held in place with four rusting Philips-head screws. It reads:
In Loving Memory of
GEORGENE MARGARET MURIEL TREVAN
20/8/1919 - 30/11/2017
You will always be in our Hearts
