Columbia Hills; source: NASA

The Columbia Hills are a range of low hills inside Gusev crater on Mars.

Mars Exploration Rover Spirit observed the hills in 2004. The seven individual hilltops were named after the seven astronauts who died in the Columbia disaster in 2003.

Two small monuments in Woodward Park in Fresno, California commemorate the astronauts who died in the explosion of STS-51L Challenger and and the disaster of Columbia STS-107.
