The family name, "Rootes", is in relief on both sides of the gray granite headstone, with an appropriate rustic theme. Two support columns flank "Rootes" on the front, and floral detail complements the Woodmen of the World emblem, at top.

The adult burials are Charles J. Rootes and his wife, Blanche E. Rootes. With them is their young son, Charles, Jr., who died as an infant. Each has a personalized granite headstone:
