Miles the Monster sits outside of the Dover International Speedway and his glowing red eyes can be seen on Route 1 up to a half mile away.

Miles the Monster has been Dover Speedway's mascot since 2000. In 2008, he made a spectacular and permanent appearance on Plaza Drive outside of the race track. He is shown from his waist up and his outstretched arm holds an actual NASCAR race car. The base of the statue contains plaques honoring the winners of every Dover race since 1969 and is large enough to hold names until 2015.
Miles took 144 days to construct and when completed, he was 46 feet tall and weighs 40,000 pounds. He was constructed in the driveway of a firm in Lancaster, PA and when completed, he was unassembled and taken to Dover, DE on six flatbed trucks and reconstructed. (

There is no fee to see Miles because he is visible from the road. But take heed if you decide to get a closer look without benefit of an admission ticket because there is 24 hour surveilance.
